How are we supposed to enter a new year and celebrate season in South Florida without the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA)’s Delray Beach Fashion Week? We’re so excited to report that they have recreated it all for us this year, with the 9th Annual Delray Beach Fashion Week slated for February 24–28 this year.
We can’t believe it’s been 9 years since the Delray DDA first graced the city with this great event, and COVID-19 was not going to get in the way of this year’s iteration. This 9th annual event will feature a variety of fashion-focused experiences set in open-air environments following all safety guidelines related to COVID-19.
And be on the lookout, because LLScene will be taking over Boca magazine’s Instagram account, @bocamag, at the opening event on Wednesday, February 24: Tropical Paradise Preview – Resort and Evening Wear Fashion Show & Luncheon. You can be there with us live and digitally!
It’s more important than ever to bring awareness to all of the amazing local businesses that Delray Beach has to offer, and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of it. This year’s events include “The Tropical Paradise Preview: A Resort and Evening Wear Fashion Show and Luncheon” at Taru at Sundy House, “Sunset Shop & Sip” in Pineapple Grove, “Sunsational Shop & Stroll” on Atlantic Ave., and two days of fashion trunk shows, in-store events, and shopping. More details can be found below.
This year just wouldn’t be the same without Delray Beach Fashion Week, and we’re so grateful that the hard-working team at the Delray Beach DDA was able to figure out a way to make it happen and keep everyone safe.
“The annual Delray Beach Fashion Week will look and feel a little different this year due to COVID-19,” said Laura Simon, Executive Director of the Delray Beach DDA. “We have redesigned the week of events to be in line with the needs of the community and to continue to provide a true fashion experience as we showcase and support the many small business retailers throughout downtown Delray Beach. Masks will be required to be worn at all events, as well as following CDC Guidelines including social distancing and providing hand sanitizer stations.
“The DDA and downtown merchants are proud to produce this award-winning event reimagined for its ninth year and look forward to sharing with our residents and visitors’ fashion, beauty, and fun!”
