America’s Very first Outdoor Shopping Mall Was in Michigan

The Kalamazoo Mall was the pretty 1st outdoor pedestrian purchasing mall in the United States, building its debut on August 19, 1959. It was supposed as staying just a walk-through, with no site visitors, no through street, and no parking spots. Just a long stretch of properties where by folks could walk from store to store.
