The 2021 Golden Globes are here! And even though the ceremony is taking place on two coasts with most nominees popping in virtually, there is still plenty of fashion for Wonderwall.com to judge! First up, this sweet black Chanel gown on Margot Robbie! The beauty arrived in this lovely spaghetti-strapped and off-the-shoulder number from the fashion house, which included ruffled detailing at the neckline, a black Chanel logo-clad belt at the waist and a thigh-high slit that helped show off her strappy sandals. Keep reading to see more of the fashion hits and misses of the night…

Yikes! We weren’t fond of Gal Gadot’s white minidress, with its sheer sleeves and cape-like detail. She paired it with simple sparkly sandals, but it was her necklace that was the real eye-catching part of this otherwise dull ensemble. Let’s take a closer look…

Gal Gadot sported a stunning necklace from Tiffany — this 48 carat emerald-cut bi-color zoisite that was set in 18k yellow gold amidst nearly one thousand Tiffany diamonds. Aside from that stunning piece, she also sported diamonds and a ring from the famous jeweler.

We adored Tina Fey’s tuxedo-style Versace minidress! The star, who is one of the co-hosts of the night, selected this long-sleeved tuxedo-style frock with satin lapels and paired it with tights and pointy-toe Brian Atwood pumps for a sharp and stylish look.
Amy Poehler co-hosted with Tina Fey and seemed to get the all-black memo. She rocked this killer black Moschino minidress, featuring plenty of sequins and gold hardware, and added jewelry by Meijuri and platform Giuseppe Zanottis.
You couldn’t miss Cynthia Erivo on the red carpet! The actress arrived in this neon green Valentino Couture frock, with a unique sleeveless and full-skirted silhouette. When it came time to add accessories, Cynthia selected Wempe earrings and cream opera gloves.
A Valentino look we weren’t as crazy for? Maya Rudolph’s bold floral frock. Though we liked the cut, we weren’t fans of the all-over floral print. She finished off her look with a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo sandals and diamond Phillipa ear cuffs by Ana Khouri, which we’ll get a better look at next…
Despite not loving her Valentino look, we loved Maya Rudolph’s double diamond ear cuffs by Ana Khouri.
Pretty in purple! Angela Bassett arrived at the Golden Globes in style, rocking this feathered and fierce purple Dolce&Gabbana gown for the big occasion. We loved the one-shouldered silhouette with feather detailing, the sequin embellishments and the way the frock featured a thigh-high slit on the other side. Next up, we’ll take a closer look at her accessories…
First up? Those shoes! Angela Bassett rocked Dolce&Gabbana platform sandals in the exact same shade as her gorgeous gown. Next, we’ll be taking a look at her equally exquisite beauty look…
When it came time to add jewels, Angela Bassett rocked these beautiful pale blue stunners by Graziela. And for her beauty look, she selected warm-toned hues and rocked a killer side braid.
We were seriously underwhelmed by Renée Zellweger’s Golden Globes fashion moment. The star arrived in this black Armani Prive design with a sweetheart neckline and an asymmetrical hemline, which showed off her equally simple black Jimmy Choo pumps.
Lady in red! Salma Hayek was a vision in this cherry red Alexander McQueen gown, which featured a halter-style neckline that gave way to a train detail. When it came time for jewelry, it was the more the merrier in the diamond department. Let’s take a closer look at her Harry Winston jewels…
Look at all those diamonds! Salma Hayek accessorized with multiple diamond bracelets from Harry Winston and an exquisite ruby ring.
Sofia Carson’s dual-toned Giambattista Valli wasn’t one of our favorite ensembles of the night. From the odd eggplant and pale pink color combination to that dramatic oversized bow detail at the shoulder to the way she paired it with a very mature updo, we just couldn’t get behind this look. Next up? A look at the gown’s over-the-top train…
Sofia Carson’s train went on for days! Her disappointing Giambattista Valli gown included this insanely dramatic detail that didn’t help matters. Now it’s time to get a better view of her jewels…
Though we weren’t crazy about Sofia Carson’s dress or hairstyle, we can’t deny that her Dena Kemp diamond earrings were showstoppers.
A contender for best-dressed man? Anthony Anderson, who showed up looking impossibly cool in Dolce&Gabbana. From the stunning Chopard broach to the killer loafers he rocked without socks, we rated this look a 10 out of 10.
We wanted to love Kristen Wiig’s mint green Prada mini — especially when it kicked off with that embellished neckline! — but the oddly placed bows and the short ruffled hemline made it feel a tad too casual for such a big night. Next up, a closer look at her Harry Winston jewels…
Though we were underwhelmed by Kristen Wiig’s Prada frock, we loved all of her Harry Winston jewels. The star sported a delicate diamond necklace, three different diamond bracelets and a gorgeous ring.
One of the best-dressed stars of the night in our book? Jamie Lee Curtis! The star arrived in this stunning Alex Perry design, which featured long sleeves, a plunging neckline and ruching at the waist all in a beautiful bold yellow color.
The ombre trend has been out for some time now, so we’re not sure why Bryce Dallas Howard selected this unfortunate shiny Temperley number. The sparkly turtleneck-style frock went from silver to ruby red, which matched her red pointy-toe pumps.
Rosie Perez went with a halter-style Christian Siriano design. The black frock featured a peplum waist and a shimmering sequined column-style skirt and resulted in a red carpet hit in our book.
Sterling K. Brown arrived looking dapper in Dior! The actor rocked this navy blue Christian Dior look and accessorized with a skinny blue tie and black dress shoes for a debonair red carpet moment.
Jane Fonda is a fashion icon, so it’s no surprise she arrived in style. The star, who was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award this year, donned this cream Richard Tyler pantsuit that she had actually worn before. This time, the legendary actress styled the pantsuit with pointy-toe Sarah Flint block heels in gold and added some drop earrings to complete her glamorous Globes look.
We love a unique menswear moment, and Kenan Thompson certainly delivered! The star arrived in this olive-hued Bogart suit and rocked a matching bow tie, black dress shoes and aviator shades to complete his sharp ensemble.
Kyra Sedgwick scored a miss with this Marina Moscone pairing. The actress sported the shiny two-piece look with a top that featured a cape-like detail. When it came time to finish her styling, she added subtle jewels by Chopard to complete the underwhelming look.
Catherine Zeta-Jones kept things classically elegant in this black Dolce&Gabbana gown. The off-the-shoulder frock featured ruching and sequined embellishments down the bodice, a thigh-high slit that showed off her peep-toe Dolce&Gabbana pumps and a dramatic train. And when it came time to add more sparkle, the star donned Chopard jewels.
Glam in Gucci! Awkwafina arrived in style in this bold patterned gown, which featured a belted bow detail at the waist and a delicate layer of tan tulle at the hemline.
Tracy Morgan went with a classic black tux and bow tie combination at the Golden Globes, resulting in this sharp and stylish red carpet moment.
Shimmering fringe? Susan Kelechi Watson made a statement in this Georges Hobeika dress. The pretty blue, black and silver design featured stunning embellishments, silver fringe at the waist and hemline, and the length was perfect for showing off those Aquazzura heels.
Looking sharp, Justin Theroux! The hunky actor donned his pantsuit with a white dress shirt and went sans tie for the occasion.
We weren’t wild about Zuri Hall’s two-piece ensemble at the Globes. Though we liked the bold red shade of this Zara Umrigar number, we didn’t like the casual feel of the bandeau-style top paired with the full and ruffled skirt.
Laura Dern had a super-stylish Givenchy moment at the Globes this year, arriving in this tailored pantsuit that she rocked sans undershirt. She added a thick black choker to the mix and some edgy pointy-toe pumps, which we’ve got to take a closer look at next…
Giving Laura Dern’s Givenchy look some extra edge? These studded and embellished pumps.
Christian Slater opted for a unique shade instead of the common dull colors. We appreciated that the actor selected this teal-hued suit from Canali instead of boring old black and added a gray tie and black dress shoes.
Tiffany Haddish showed up sparkling in this strapless confection. The intricately embellished metallic design featured a plunging neckline and a fitted silhouette, and it paired perfectly with those simple black pumps. Next up, a look at her jewelry…
Tiffany Haddish chose these killer gold hoops to go with her sparkly metallic gown on Globes night.
With other men showing up in sharp silhouettes and cool shades, Kevin Bacon’s boring suit and tie combo fell flat on the Globes carpet.
When it came time for Golden Globes Ambassador Jackson Lee, Spike Lee’s son, to get dressed up for the Golden Globes, he did so in style! He opted for this sleek all-black Gucci look, which he topped with a colorful green and fuchsia kimono-style jacket. He finished his look with Jordan Nike sneakers. And when it came time to add accessories, he opted for sunglasses by pal Elisa Johnson (Magic Johnson’s daughter!).
Spike Lee’s daughter Satchel Lee also served as a Golden Globes Ambassador this year. Like her brother, she opted for a sleek Gucci moment — rocking this long-sleeved black gown with silver embellishments, cutouts and a thigh-high slit that showed off her chic black sandals.
