Woman, 54, lifeless immediately after armed attack at Quebec browsing mall suspect arrested

Quebec law enforcement say a woman is useless and a person is in custody just after an armed assault Wednesday early morning inside of a procuring mall east of Montreal. 

The Galeries St-Hyacinthe shopping mall on Laframboise Boulevard was evacuated subsequent the assault close to 10 a.m. community time, which remaining a 54-12 months-previous female seriously wounded.

The girl was taken to clinic right after currently being stabbed by a gentleman and was later on was pronounced useless, according to police. 

The suspect fled the scene in a car, which prompted a police chase that associated officers from Longueuil Police and the Régie Intermunicipale de law enforcement Richelieu-Saint-Laurent, explained Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a spokesperson for the Surete du Quebec (SQ).

Police stopped the car close to Edward Street in Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur, in the Montérégie location, about 50 kilometres south of Montreal and 75 kilometres southwest of the assault site. Law enforcement say the suspect is a 43-12 months-old man from Montreal.
